I think they were quite young but not sure. At first they were picking stuff out of the grass, they were quite playful, pushing each other away, rolling over, fighting over the same bit of grass. They were up on the roof of the hut as well, doing what sounded like stomping down to get our attention. There's a dead tree not far from the hut in which we saw the keas a lot as well. Eventually there where 9 (probably fledgeling) Kea's around the car and 3 more carefully flying around in the trees they seemed more like juveniles with scruffier feathers.\nAfter some car and chair inspecting they would fly off or do some preening in the trees. A smaller group stayed longer, playing, running after each other and preening/cuddling each other.
